Train Reservation Cancellation Policy

Instructions for Voucher Pick-Up for Roundtrip Train Travel: Passengers are encouraged to check-in for the Grand Canyon Train at the Williams Depot ticket counter 1.5 hours prior to your departure. Don't miss the Wild West Shootout at 30 minutes prior to your departure.

Instructions for Voucher Pick-Up for Overnight Packages: Passengers staying at The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel and checking in prior to 6:00pm, please pick up all vouchers at the Williams Depot Ticket Counter. If checking in after 6:00pm, please pick up all vouchers at the Front Desk of The Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. Check-in time at the hotel is 3:00pm on day of arrival.

Grand Canyon Railway has an all-new Pet Resort to pamper your family friend. With spacious indoor/outdoor kennels and windows-to-the-sun catteries, your pet(s) will be cared for in the nicest boarding facility in all of northern Arizona. Vaccination records must accompany your pet.

National Park Information:

National Park Entrance Fee: Passengers with a National Park Pass are exempt from the National Park Entrance Fee. If you are exempt and have been charged the National Park Entrance Fee you may obtain a refund by presenting your pass at the Williams Depot Ticket Counter upon arrival or by calling  and giving us your pass number.

Cancellation Policy:

Train, hotel and package cancellations (excludes special events*) must be made 48 hours prior to 12:00 noon of arrival date in order to receive a refund. A $25.00 cancellation fee per train passenger will be deducted. No refunds will be given for cancellations given under 24 hours.

The groups cancellation policy is defined in your groups contract.

*Special Events:

There are no cancellations, refunds or exchanges given for the Polar Express and Day out with Thomas bookings.

For the Sunset Limited train, there is a $50.00 per person cancellation fee if canceled 14 days prior to your arrival. There is a $10.00 fee for changing any portion of your Sunset Limited reservation within 14 days of  travel. If canceling your Sunset Limited reservation within 48 hours of arrival, there are no refunds and this trip cannot be rebooked for a later date.

Arrival times are approximate. Rates and schedules are valid through 3/17/09 and are subject to change without notice. Reservations are subject to GCR policies. Please limit luggage to one standard bag and one carry-on bag and limit luggage weight to no more than 40 pounds per person. Additional luggage charges may apply. No smoking or pets permitted aboard the train or in the hotel. Due to the age of our steam engines, we cannot guarantee their usage. GCR assumes no responsibility or liability for errors, omissions or changes in association with activities and services provided by partners. Directions and Arizona time: Take Interstate 40 to Williams Exit 163; follow Grand Canyon Boulevard ½ mile South to Grand Canyon Railway and Resort. NOTE: Arizona does not recognize "Daylight Savings Time"; from the First Sunday in April to the Last Sunday in October the time here is the same as Pacific Daylight Time.
